SPC is a spanish technology brand specialized in the development of Smart devices for individuals and companies. SPC has more than 30 years of experience in the ICT sector and its consumer electronics area is specialized in the development of tablets, True Wireless headphones, speakers and music players, a wide range of IoT products, smartphones, telephones for home and mobiles for the elder ones. Its goal is to make the latest technology available to everyone, always focusing its efforts on the quality and service of its products.
OBJECTIVE
- Make known to the main media about SPC’s news in the consumer technology market, especially the first Android smart monitor, while informing them of the brand’s participation in the next Mobile World Congress (MWC 2023) with new SPC advances in energy saving technologies.
STRATEGY
We organized a presentation to key journalists both of the news in its different product ranges and the introduction of the first Android smart monitor. At the same time, it was announced to attendees SPC’s participation in MWC 2023 with more innovations, to create expectation and increase the chances of both receiving their visit at the SPC booth and to publish their messages after the international event.
ACTIONS
- It was created a medialist of journalists from economi, technology and general media, with the objective of inviting them to the event organized by the SPC brand. Studies were carried out to identify the most influential journalists in these media and they were contacted in a personalized way, in order to send them the invitation in an effective way and generate interest in their attendance.
- The event was held in a brunch format in a central hotel in Madrid, and was attended by the main spokespersons of the spanish company, who presented the new tablets of the brand for the year 2023. In addition, a new product category was presented in the firm: PC monitors. In this case, SPC Smart Monitor is the first Android smart monitor with smart TV function and Google user experience, thus uniting two worlds in a single device.
- SPC advanced their key objectives in its participation for the next MWC 2023.
- In addition, assistance and support was provided to journalists to develop the main messages of what SPC would present at the event, offering additional information and clarifying any doubts or concerns they might have. We sought to establish a relationship of trust and collaboration between the journalists and the brand, so that they would have a satisfactory experience at the event and could effectively transmit the news presented by the brand in their respective media.
- Furthermore, we wrote several concised press releases detailing the new products and technological projects that SPC presented at the event, which were sent to journalists part of the medialist. These press releases had the main messages that the brand wanted to convey and were developed with a careful and professional writing.
RESULTS
- 14 journalists from main target media attended the event in Madrid.
- 65 hits in total on both general and specialized media about SPC’s new product range.
CONCLUSION
- The actions carried out by SPC to present its new product line were a success. Thanks to the personalized and effective invitations, the support provided to journalists for the development of their content and the careful preparation of the press releases, a high impact and successful dissemination was achieved in terms of visibility and brand awareness.
- In conclusion, this action was an effective marketing strategy to position the brand and publicize its products and technological projects and the upcoming actions that the spanish company intends to develop, achieving media interest in its presence at MWC 2023.
