  • Genesis is a brand dedicated to develop gaming accessories for players of all levels, with a great presence in the eSports scene. It has participated both as an exhibitor and as a sponsor of different gaming tournaments and events, such as IEM, PGA, Gamescom or Pyrkon.
OBJECTIVES

To make Genesis’ product range be known to the Spanish market, through collaborations on YouTube, online media and new platforms such as Twitch, to focus on a young audience. From July 2021 until now, we have used as a strategy a combination of traditional media and new platforms consumed by the brand’s target audience, especially Twitch due to the gaming nature of the products.

STRATEGY
  • Genesis had the challenge of presenting itself in Spain in an emerging market with a strong competition. Its strengths are its good value for money and its important distribution agreements that bring its products closer to the Spanish market.
  • We created a strong campaign of product testing through the media but also focusing on YouTube influencers and gamers from Twitch, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok.
  • We organized and coordinated the delivery of samples of around 35 products: Keyboards, headsets, mouse pads, microphones, speakers or gaming tables and chairs.
RESULTS

During almost 8 months of campaign for Genesis we have achieved more than 160 hits.

  • +60 hits in media outlets, including reviews on media through products exchange
  • +25 YouTube videos
  • +60 hits in social media: Twitch, Instagram, Tik Tok and Twitter. Of this, +30 were from Twitch
  • Furthermore, we distributed several press releases that you can view here.

CONCLUSION

This campaign shows that it’s indispensable to know your brand’s target audience and the platforms they use very well. In general young users, gamers or content creators don’t read traditional. That’s why at 121PR we expanded our target audience through new platforms and achieved good results.
